Re: Post your collection

Hi Tom,

nice collection of guns! I prefer to collect hits! Both taken and given!!

If I had the cash I would probably also increase my airsoft gun collection substantially. My plan for now is to get the other SG55X guns in the series. The SG550 is next. When JG provides my supplier with stock again. It's been several months now.

BTW Tom, do you keep the guns on display or packed away? I can just imagine someone finding your "weapons cache".

How long have you been collecting? Do you ever fire the guns? Are they all AEG?

Re: Post your collection

Yes Johann, I do still mess about with them from time to time. Most are on display, much to my wife's dismay, but some are packed away. I still need to build on another room before I can fully display all my junk.
I have been collecting airsoft now for about 2 years. I have others that are not airsoft, but decided to leave those out. I must say that most of the longarms are AEG, but I also have some springers and gas guns.
The reason for going the airsoft route is obviously due to the large selection available and the fact that they are modeled after real guns and are 1:1 scale, but as you say, they are getting way expensive. Still love to get some more of the WW2 era ones, like the Sten, K98 and a few others. The trouble is that whenever one appears that I am interested in, I have no funds!!
Craig, what can I say.. I love my wife and my guns, but only have one wife....
Slaaibak, didn't know it was a competition, but in that case, what have I won?? BTW, do you operate under this name on BoB?

I must admit, some a-holes broke into my home twice and each time a few more of my displayed guns were stolen. Would like to see them get in now!

Re: Post your collection

I keep my airsoft guns hidden from view or locked away or hidden. Something I don't take lightly.

The reasoning is:
1) They will be stolen and used in a bad manner.
2) This could put the sport in disrepute and bring to a front very strict regs around the purchase and keeping of airsoft rifles.

Re: Post your collection

I hear you Brett, although I have some on the wall they are in a spare room that stays locked. Unfortunately the spare room also houses a load of the wife's stuff so one wall is all I got, ergo the need for another room.

Transformation complete. She ain't no RS (believe me that one of Slaai's is well finished and detailed) but she shoots only second to "THE L96", infact she may even be more accurate. Wife was able to hit the neighbours vertical TV pole at +-35m (wife can't shoot to save her life).
